Basic Excel for Data Analytics — Beginner Course in Singapore

This basic Excel data analytics course in Singapore is built for complete beginners who want to move from staring at spreadsheets to confidently organising, analysing and reporting data. Over two hands-on classroom days you go from typing into cells to building formulas, summarising data with tables, and turning numbers into clear charts — all on real workplace tasks. If you have ever felt that Excel does more than you know how to use, this beginner-friendly programme closes that gap.

You will work in Microsoft Excel from the first hour, guided by an experienced trainer, practising every concept on a provided laptop as you learn it. By the end you can prepare clean data, write your own formulas with functions like SUM and AVERAGE, sort and filter tables, and produce reports and charts that help your team make better decisions. This is Excel for beginners, Singapore-relevant, and entirely practical.

What You Will Learn

  • Find your way confidently around the Excel ribbon, worksheets and cells, and enter, copy and paste data without fuss.
  • Prepare and tidy data — managing rows and columns, formatting cells, and applying number and date formats for clean, readable sheets.
  • Write your own practical formulas using basic functions and absolute referencing, and let Auto Fill do the repetitive work.
  • Analyse data with Excel tables — sorting, filtering and pulling SUM-style summary figures out of your records in seconds.
  • Manage and print large workbooks cleanly, with sensible page setup and page breaks for professional reports.
  • Turn data into clear charts — column, pie and more — and format titles, legends and layout to communicate findings at a glance.
  • Pull tables, visualisations and reports together to present analysis to managers and stakeholders.
