Advanced Excel Data Analytics & Dashboards Course in Singapore

This advanced Excel data analytics course in Singapore takes you well beyond formulas and tidy reports, and into the kind of deep analysis that drives real decisions. Over two hands-on, classroom-based days you will learn to model data, run forecasts and scenarios, mine large datasets for patterns, and turn the results into interactive dashboards that managers can actually act on. If you already use Excel for everyday reporting but want to extract sharper, decision-ready insight from your numbers, this is the next step up.

You will work through practical exercises using real-world data: building data models with PivotTables and PivotCharts, applying statistical and forecasting tools, testing what-if scenarios, and assembling dynamic dashboards. By the end you will be able to identify underlying trends, quantify the relationships in your data, and present conclusions that stand up to scrutiny — all within Excel, with no extra software to buy.

What You Will Learn

  • Build robust data models with PivotTables and PivotCharts that update dynamically as selections change.
  • Choose the right Excel functions for deeper analysis and data mining, including INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS and lookup-driven techniques.
  • Run what-if and scenario analysis with Data Tables, Goal Seek, Solver and the Scenario Manager to weigh competing constraints.
  • Apply forecasting and statistical tools — trend analysis, correlation and linear regression with FORECAST — to predict sales, demand and growth.
  • Clean, transform and combine data from multiple worksheets into a single reliable analysis-ready dataset.
  • Uncover patterns, trends and outliers in large datasets and translate them into clear business insight.
  • Design interactive dashboards using multiple charts, Pivots and slicers for management reporting.
  • Structure your conclusions so decision-makers can read the story in the data at a glance.

Who Should Attend

This course is built for professionals who rely on Excel to make sense of data and want to go deeper than standard reports.

  • Data analysts who want to add forecasting, modelling and scenario analysis to their toolkit.
  • Managers and decision-makers who need faster, more reliable insight from their numbers.
  • Finance, sales, operations and marketing professionals who report on performance regularly.
  • Report writers who struggle with advanced PivotTables, data clean-up and visualisation.
  • Anyone from a database, business intelligence or IT background who wants to apply those skills in Excel.

Prerequisites

  • Solid, regular hands-on use of Excel for everyday analysis and reporting.
  • Comfort writing common formulas such as SUM and IF, and creating basic charts.
  • Familiarity with PivotTables is helpful, though we will build on the fundamentals.
  • A genuine appetite for sharpening your data analysis skills — prior database, BI or programming experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

Course Outline

Day 1 — Modelling, Scenarios & Forecasting

  • Data modelling with PivotTables & PivotCharts — introduce data modelling, filter and transform raw data, surface patterns across multiple datasets, and analyse them visually with PivotCharts.
  • Solver & scenarios for multiple constraints — manage competing constraints, prove out options with Solver, and compare decision paths using the Scenario Manager.
  • Modelling & linear regression for forecasts — learn core modelling principles, build a working model in Excel, and use linear regression to produce better forecasts.

Day 2 — Data Mining, Statistics & Dashboards

  • Data mining & Goal Seek for business insight — mine data with lookup functions, work backwards from a target with Goal Seek, and explore advanced data-mining use cases.
  • Statistical analysis & visualisation dashboards — apply key statistical methods, present qualitative, data-driven visuals, and assemble decision-ready dashboards.
  • Interactive reporting — tie charts, Pivots and slicers together into dynamic dashboards that refresh as your data and selections change.

Funding & Certification

This is a WSQ-funded, SkillsFuture-eligible programme for those who qualify, and NTUC members may use UTAP to offset part of the remaining fee. Training is led by Intellisoft’s founder and Master Trainer, Vinai Prakash. Corporate runs for teams of 15 or more can be arranged at your premises or ours.
